Fortingall Art 2006 - Expanded & Extended

Due to the expanding number of painters, sculptors and photographers keen to exhibit in the attractive setting of the Molteno Hall, this year’s third Summer Exhibition will be bigger and better than before.
Janet Wotherspoon, chair of the Fortingall Arts Group, told Comment: “I am most excited about this year’s event and feel that we have really built upon our previous success. With some new artists, there will be plenty of fresh, varied and exciting work as well as other art ‘events’ and demonstrations throughout the 10 days.”

Competition

One of the features of this year’s exhibition is to be a schools’ competition open to Glenlyon and Kenmore Primary Schools and Breadalbane Secondary.
Mark Birkbeck, of the House of Bruar which is sponsoring the competition, will be presenting the prizes to the winners on the opening night, Friday 28 July, at 6.00pm.

Open to the public, the exhibition runs from Saturday 29 July to Sunday 6 August, Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 8pm.
