THE WORD is that the canvas conceived at the ‘The Painter and The Poet’ evening hosted in April by the Fearnan Arts Club has excited huge enthusiasm in the artist, Eric Timms.
Visitors to his studio in Strathtay who have caught glimpses of the evolving work have been mightily impressed. Although remaining tight lipped on his own evaluation of the painting, the surrealist smiles a great deal when questioned about it.
He speaks very animatedly about the method that he and local poet John Ramsay used to bring the painting to life. It is expected that its public unveiling will take place soon, and that there will be more events in future held along the same lines to generate further inspirations.
