AIR Gallery Lift Off
Air (Artist in Residence) Gallery in Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy, is now solidly established as ‘a portal to Surrealism’, and in itself could be described as a piece of Installation Art.
As its current incumbent is Strathtay artist Eric Timms (formerly of Brighton, previously of Paris etc etc), traditional sea and landscapes and portraiture are also works that are both on display and in progress.
As a working studio and venue, Air will constantly feature the work under construction by - and be a display for the product of - the “artist in residence” of the moment.

Eric Timms maintains that the interest and encouragement that has been shown by locals and visitors to this approach renders the experiment worthy of further pursuit. He told Comment that he hopes to deliver a lasting service to aspiring local talent through their take-up of short term residencies. By this he will literally “shop window their work and development to the public”.
