Solo Exhibition at PFT Gallery till July

A new solo exhibition by Tim Cockburn, a well known contemporary artist, is currently showing until 14 July at the Festival Theatre Gallery in Pitlochry.
Tim’s humorous scenes of everyday life consist of gatherings of people who are often to be found Scottish country dancing, eating in restaurants, drinking, or playing golf, chess and cards.

The Artist
Born in the North of England, Tim studied at the Edinburgh College of Art in 1974, acquiring a Diploma in Drawing and Painting. After graduating, he travelled extensively in Italy, India and Sri Lanka.

 


In 1986, he editioned work for artists at the Edinburgh Printmakers’ Workshop, running regular courses in printmaking and lecturing at Telford College of Further Education.
Tim is a past chairman of the Council of the Edinburgh Printmaker’s Workshop and was, for several years. Exhibitions Organiser for the Pittenweem Arts Festival, he also organises Life classes at the Crawford Art Centre in St Andrews.
