Exhibitions Excellent Start

Fortingall Art’s Winter Exhibition held by kind invitation of the Watermill, Aberfeldy got off to an excellent start with over 70 visitors flocking to see what the group had on show.

The Watermill gallery offers a unique space with its mixture of plain white walls, bright lattice windows and hidden nooks. All invite closer inspection and visitors were not disappointed.

Champagne and sparkling elderflower were flowing freely throughout the afternoon as guests warmed in their appreciation of the work on show.

Brilliant gouache studies by Audrey Slorance, the light-filled tree-scapes of Maryanne Ryves and five superb Keith Brockie paintings were among those exhibits drawing praise.

But there was a great variation of style and medium on show including interesting metal sculptures by Heather and Morag Cumming and new-comer Colleen Dupon.

The exhibition continues until the 24 February and is open daily.
